Ive finished the third week, been quite amazing actually. I continue the Couch to 5k program. This week had me running 1.5 minutes, walk 1.5 and run and walk 3 minutes. After finishing up the third workout, the text stated I would start running a 1/2 of 5k starting the 4th week. Wow, 1.5 miles. The thought crossed my mind, I hope before the triathlon I could run 3 miles and bike 12 miles three times a week Time will tell.
I started biking this week too, fortunately I was able to make it an hour each time. I rode both times doing a few intervals, nothing too crazy. I was happy just to finish the hour without stop pedaling, not too many times The instructors are hard core riders, are part of competitive teams and seemed pretty competitive. I let them give me instruction of what I should do, I waited patiently and then told them, I thought I didnt know 1/2 of what he was talking about, I mentioned to them I m happy to just finish the hour without stop peddling, that is my near term goal. None the less, I get to ride the bike an hour a day, 3 days a week. Stay tuned on this.
I started swimming, let me tell you, its going to be a miracle if I can swim a 1/4 mile by June. As a side note, I get to give my testimony this week at Church on how God has been involved in my life. One of the scriptures is Hebrews 11:11. It covers And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she[b] considered him faithful who had made the promise. (NIV) I have to tell you, my journey is not as dramatic, not by any stretch of the imagination, but I have faith to be able achieve this. How, I have no idea, but Ill keep after it and doing research. Starting today, Ill be praying asking for guidance. Keep this in your prayers.
So, biking, running and swimming. Ill keep training having faith Ill get better! The adventure continues.
